Virgil Scudder

Is our New York-based media training associate who heads Virgil Scudder & Associates.

In recent years Virgil has trained chairmen and/or ceo’s of, among others, American Airlines and Continental Airlines, as well as Boeing. He has also trained executives at the same levels in EADS, Gillette, Kraft Foods, RJR, UPS and US regional editors of Dow Jones’ Wall Street Journal. VS&A as a firm has trained chairmen, ceo’s and other executives in communication aspects of all phases of operations, including labor disputes, financial problems, Congressional testimony, operations, service, procurement, marketing, and tech systems.

VS&A is represented throughout Asia Pacific by our Hong Kong associate company, Eric Pringle Associates Ltd. Professor Dr. A Selvanathan

Is EPAPR’s consulting economist and one of Malaysia’s most eminent economists. He conducts Harvard University doctoral and MBA courses, is an advisor to the IMF and World Bank and has contributed chapters to Malaysia’s Five-Year Plans.

He leads regular dialogues for EPAPR clients on current economic trends and issues. He also advises EPAPR clients on regional political and economic risks and evaluates corporate takeover, merger and investment opportunities.

Professor David Sumner-Potts

Is EPAPR’s business communication specialist. He is available on a visiting basis to conduct courses for our clients on a range of communication subjects at both advanced and lesser levels.

Professor Sumner-Potts founded the highly-acclaimed School of Communication for Charles Sturt University (officially designated Australian University of the Year for 1997).

Ken Ponder
MA (Applied Market & Social Research); BA (Marketing); BSc (Econ Hons, majoring in statistics) Chartered Statistician; Full Member of the Market Research Society (UK)

Is EPAPR’s consulting research director. He has 25 years’ experience in marketing, branding and survey research, including travel industry branding and consumer research.

He has planned major marketing research programs for product launches and post-launch assessments, identification of market trends and development of marketing strategies to promote products and services.

Ponder has lived in Malaysia for 14 years and has carried out Asian research assignments in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam. He has also been a university lecturer on marketing research and statistics in Malaysia for three years.

SPORTS EVENT MARKETING

Brian Wilmott

Heads EPAPR’s associate sports event marketing company, MatchPlan Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and has worked in Asia for more than 25 years.

Under his direction, MatchPlan has organised such successful events as the world launch in Kuala Lumpur for the Australian Cricket Board and the Malaysian Cricket Association of the Super 8s cricket format; the Kuala Lumpur staging of the Carlsberg ICC Trophy (the world’s largest cricket tournament), the World B Cycling Championships and World and Malaysian Squash Championships.

TRANSPORT INDUSTRY AND ROAD SAFETY

Neal Kent
AO, FCIT

Is EPAPR’s specialist consultant on the transport industry and road safety.

Mr Kent is a former Australian State Commissioner of Transport and is internationally acknowledged as an authority on road safety campaigns.

The Australian Government awarded Kent one of its highest honours, the AO (Officer of the Order of Australia), for his contributions to transport and road safety. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport (FCIT).
